Tuesday's NaiSaiKu Challenge

Time again for the NaiSaiKu Challenge. A poem built a little like a haiku, but different. The title is in the middle.

lost in the blackness,
alone with thoughts all jumbled,
slumber does not come,
TROUBLES OF THE MIND
slumber’s fickle muse,
alone with thoughts all jumbled,
absorbed by blackness

Awesome, feelings we can all relate to, the form fits them well!

PS - I grew up in South Dakota so am enjoying the familiarity of places and things in your Tweets.

I know the feeling. I've always been a light sleeper...or perhaps a heavy thinker???

I think the trick is to stop thinking (easier said than done) and then you fall asleep!

Nicely!

I've had a few of those nights, and congratulations and thanks for capturing their essence in a few lines.
