OneWord - Suffocate

OneWord is a writing prompt that gives you 60 seconds to come up with something, based on one word given. The word was "suffocate:"

She couldn't breathe. He didn't let her.
She came from a large family, which he cut her from like cattle.
He did the same with her friends.
He wanted her for himself.
But she suffocated at the sight of him.
